There’s been lots of weekending going on around here. We have a couple of special city mice visitors so we get to show off our island and the weather has been fantastic. The bird feeders are out and the seeds are starting to sprout. And the fire is only lit in the morning to clip the edge off the chill. Gabrielle is cutting teeth which makes nights a little rough. She is also learning how to go from a soprano (perhaps whining a little much these days) to an alto as we ask her to lower her tone and use her words/signs for what she wants.
And boy, does she know what she wants.
We’ve spent so much time at the beach exploring crawly crabs and collecting pretty stones. Having Gabrielle down at the beach is like seeing everything through new eyes. It’s wonderful to be in awe of Spring as it washes us anew again.
